St. Johns Lutheran Church in Orange, CA has been around for 130 years and had never really done an annual report. They figured that it was appropriate to do one for 2007. Unfortunately, talk of money is always a bit uncomfortable when it comes to the church, so the assignment was to find a positive and optimistic way to diplomatically discuss how the church’s offering money was being used. This design was my creative way to solve this problem.
The format was 4″h x 12″w and opened vertically (like a vertically-challenged calendar). Statistics were measured to the linear foot, and I was thankful for the opportunity to walk around and get some exercise. Here is a sampling of the pages. Relevant and corresponding financial stats are formatted at the bottom of each page.
